TCMB duyurdu: Planlanan yatırımlarda artış bekleniyor


The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) published the Investment Tendency Statistics for the fall period of 2024, compiled from the responses of 1,785 businesses operating in the manufacturing industry.


According to the fall 2024 survey results, the assessments that the investments made in 2024 and planned to be made in the last period of the year will increase compared to the previous year continue to weaken, while the increase is expected to be lower than projected in the spring period when evaluated by size groups of establishments.

Across the manufacturing industry, investments planned for 2025 are expected to increase compared to 2024. While investment expenditures are expected to increase in 2025 in all size groups, the increase is expected to be lower in establishments with 50 to 249 employees.

Investment structure

According to their objectives, investments in the manufacturing industry in 2024 were mostly aimed at replacing worn-out facilities and equipment, followed by increasing efficiency in production, increasing production capacity and other investment objectives, respectively.


According to the evaluation made according to the size groups of workplaces, it was observed that the investments in 2024 were mostly aimed at replacing worn-out facilities and equipment for workplaces with between 50 and 249 employees, while in other size groups, they were mostly aimed at increasing productivity in production.


In 2025, it is predicted that investments in the manufacturing industry will be mostly aimed at increasing productivity in production, followed by replacement of worn-out facilities and equipment, increasing production capacity and other investment targets, respectively, while investments in 2025 are expected to be mostly aimed at increasing productivity in all size groups.

Factors driving investment

An analysis of the factors that boost investments for 2024 and 2025 reveals that demand is the most important factor that boosts investments across the manufacturing industry. When the factors that increase investments are compared with the data of the previous period, it is observed that the share of technical factors has increased significantly in the recent period.
