AMAC Aerospace’ten 100 milyon dolarlık Türkiye yatırımı

Swiss AMAC Aerospace, one of the world's leading aviation companies providing aircraft maintenance and repair services as well as VIP aircraft completion and refurbishment, continues its investments in Turkey. Having previously expanded its operations in Turkey with hangars in Istanbul and Bodrum, the company is preparing to contribute to its growth targets in the global aviation market with its new 32,000 square meter land at Milas - Bodrum Airport. Planned for 2026, the new facility will help Bodrum become one of the region's most important aircraft maintenance and repair centers.

The new hangar is planned to be designed in a configuration suitable for three wide-body aircraft, while at the same time providing flexibility for narrow-body aircraft and offering maintenance and repair services for both types of aircraft. The company, which has 1500 employees in 8 different facilities worldwide and 180 employees in Turkey, will create more than 300 new jobs in Turkey with its new investment.

Kadri Muhiddin, Chairman and CEO of AMAC Aerospace Group, who was previously named Aviation CEO of the year in Europe and named one of the top 5 business leaders of the year in 2024 by The Business Worldwide, is a globally recognized businessman in the aviation industry for his leadership skills and vision for his companies. Kadri Muhiddin said the following about the plans for the new hangar in Bodrum: “We currently have a total of 4930 square meters of hangar space in Istanbul and Bodrum. We have the capacity to accommodate a wide range of aircraft platforms, from mid-size jets such as Dassault and Pilatus to wide-body aircraft such as Airbus A330 or Boeing B777. In 2024, we maintained a total of 80 aircraft in Turkey, including approximately 20 mixed aircraft consisting of wide-body commercial and private aircraft. With the new hangar we will build, we will further expand our capacity and contribute to making Turkey one of the region's important bases for aircraft maintenance. Turkey is geographically located in the middle of Europe and the Middle East, and most commercial airlines have to pass through Turkey. The Turkish market is vibrant in terms of private and commercial operations and has both a mature fleet of aircraft and a good supply network for timely delivery of parts. This is an important opportunity for our new investments and for the satisfaction of our customers.”

Having invested a total of 50 million dollars in Turkey to date, the company aims to triple this figure with a new investment of 100 million dollars. In addition to its geographical location, Turkey is a strategic market for the aviation industry with its qualified workforce and advanced aircraft fleet. Turkey has excellent human resources in terms of professional expertise in aviation, Muhiddin said, adding that the country is a critical transit point for many commercial airlines around the world, as it is located right in the middle of Europe and the Middle East.

Founded in 2007 in Basel, Switzerland, AMAC Aerospace offers narrow and wide-body VIP Completion and Maintenance services for the corporate/private aviation market.  With a network of eight facilities in Switzerland, the UK, France, Turkey, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, AMAC Aerospace is the world's largest privately owned facility offering comprehensive solutions for medium, narrow and wide-body aircraft and is led by Kadri Muhiddin, Group Chairman and CEO and Mauro Grossi, Group CFO. With its long-term industry involvement, deep industry roots, extensive experience and strong international network, the AMAC team continues to exceed the expectations of customers, aviation authorities and original equipment manufacturers.
